The watch band is really made from alligator not leather. It looks really cool in the sunlight on the face that appears black but vides a soft blue sparkle.

I don't know what all the talk was about. Honestly, I love Victoria Wieck BUT when i opened the box, I was disappointed. It did NOT SPARKLE AT ALL. It was just a black and white watch. No thanks. I sent it right back. NO PAZAZZ at all.
