It looked better in the picture, but it's fine. I expect it to have some rhinestones around the crystal, but it's just raised metal.

I ordered it for my husband's 50th birthday, He Loved It!! Watch is on the large size so it makes a statement, even my 20 yr old son loved it and asked for one, so would be good for all ages. It is packaged very nicely.
