Aimed at (aspiring) race car drivers, it was the first watch ever to be fitted with a tachymeter scale on its bezel - earlier watches, including those made by Omega, had the tachymeter scale printed on their dials. It would take a few more years for the Speedmaster to reach its 'final' design: the present CK2915-2 (and the CK2915-1 for that matter) still featured a straight lug case without crown protection, an engraved stainless steel bezel and so-called 'Broad Arrow' hands. The Speedmaster would grow out to become one of the biggest and most enduring icons of the watch world in the following decades.

I'm giving this 4 stars because it's awfully heavy. I bought a M/L and it's too for my wrist, but I have someone in mind to gift this to. It's a beautiful bracelet watch.
